Your Brain
Your contains about 100 billion cells, and nerve impulses to and from the brain can travel at 170 miles per hour. But all brains decline with aging - once brain cells die they are not replaced! And drugs and alcohol destroy brain cells! Use your brain wisely:
"Set you mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth" (Colossians 3.2)
Your Hair
The average human head has between 100,000 and 150,000 hairs. The exact number is known to God:
"the very hairs of your head are all numbered" (Luke 12.7)
Your Eyes
Our eyes are always the same size from birth. On average we blink over 6 million times each year, but women blink nearly twice as much as men. Under the right conditions your eye can discern the light of a candle at a distance of 14 miles, and see a rabbit 550 yards away. God also has eyes:
"The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous" (Ps 34.15)
Your Tongue
Relative to size, the tongue is the strongest muscle in the body. And often we let it say the wrong things:
"no one can tame the tongue ... it is full of deadly poison" (James 3.8)
Your Heart
The average human heart will beat 3,000 million times in its lifetime and pump 48 million gallons of blood. Your blood travels 60,000 miles per day on its journey through the body. So the heart is an amazing machine!

Your Lifespan
Today in England life expectancy is the highest its ever been. At 20 men can expect to live for another 58 years and women another 62 years. But the exact number of our days are determined by God:
"Man's days are determined, the number of his months is with Thee" (Job 14.1,5)
"In Thy book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me" (Psalm 139.16)

- Some legalists were discussing the Bible. They were wondering how many apples Adam and Eve ate in the Garden of Eden.
First man: I think there was only one apple in the Garden. Second man: I think there were ten apples. Adam 8 and Eve ate 2. Third man: I think there were sixteen apples. Eve 8 and Adam 8 also. Fourth man: I think all three of you are wrong. If Eve 8 and Adam 82, that would be a total of 90 apples. Fifth man: You guys don't know how to add at all. According to history, Eve 81 and Adam 82. That would be a total of 163 apples. Sixth man: Wait a minute! If Eve 81 and Adam 812, that would make a total of 893 apples. Seventh man: None of you guys understand the problem in the slightest. According to my figuring, if Eve 814 Adam and Adam 8124 Eve, that would be a total of 8,938 apples in the garden. At that point all of the men gave up. - A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning. The wife said, "You should do it, because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee." The husband said, "You are in charge of cooking around here so you should do it - that'syour job." Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it's in the Bible that the man should do the coffee." Husband replies, "I can't believe that, where?" So she fetched the Bible, opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says: "HEBREWS".
- A rich, Christian man was talking to God, "Can't I take it with me when I go?" God always answered the same way, "NO!" Finally one day the man talked God into it and God said, "Okay you can take two suitcases full of anything you want." The man filled up two suitcases full of gold. When the rich man reached the pearly gates St. Peter asked the rich man why he had two suitcases. The rich man said, "It's okay I've already cleared it with God." St. Peter asked him to open the suitcases, when the rich man opened the suitcase, St. Peter said, "Why did you bring paving?"
